Beijing, March 6, 2023 — AIIB took up its status as an International Institution Observer of the OECD/DAC Network on Development Evaluation (EvalNet) at the 29th EvalNet Meeting in OECD Headquarters (February 22-23, 2023).

EvalNet brings together evaluation managers and specialists from development cooperation ministries and agencies in OECD/DAC member countries, and observers from the United Nations and international financial institutions. EvalNet has been instrumental in developing key international norms and standards for evaluation and promoting agency collaboration. The network’s guidance documents on evaluation have a wide influence on evaluation practice and are frequently used in evaluations of sustainable development policies, programs and strategies world-wide, including in AIIB’s 2021 Learning and Evaluation Policy.

In the photo are EvalNet Chair Dr. Jörg Faust (DEval, Germany), and Rahul Malhotra and Megan Kennedy-Chouane from the OECD Development Cooperation Directorate, together with AIIB staff MD-CEIU Hamid Sharif and CEIU’s Head of Evaluative Learning Irene Bain.
