Policy Description:
The Policy on the Project-affected People's Mechanism (PPM) established the PPM as AIIB's independent accountability mechanism to receive submissions from project-affected people who believe they have been or are likely to be adversely affected by AIIB's failure to implement the Environmental and Social Policy. The PPM Policy was approved by AIIB’s Board of Directors on Dec. 7, 2018. As a result of the PPM Policy Review conducted during 2023-25, the Board approved revisions in the PPM Policy on Dec. 18, 2025.
