Internship Opportunities


Thank you for your interest in joining AIIB’s Internship Program.

The program aims to offer postgraduate students an opportunity to gain relevant work experience while contributing to the growth and success of AIIB.

Eligibility
Successful applicants must have excellent academic records and professional qualifications and possess strong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills. The program is open to candidates of any nationality.
  • Education: Successful candidates must be enrolled in a master’s or doctorate full-time graduate study program from an internationally recognized institution with plans to return to school. Candidates working toward degrees in areas aligned with AIIB’s institutional goals are preferred.
  • Experience: Relevant professional work experience (including summer jobs and internships) is not necessary but would be an advantage.
  • Communications: Fluent in oral and written English.
  • AIIB Employment Restriction Policy: A partner or close relative of a staff member shall not be eligible to apply for the AIIB Internship Program. Successful candidates may not be appointed to a contract or full-time equivalent position at AIIB during the period of their internship and for one year immediately following the expiration date thereof.

Timeline
In 2019, recruitment for the AIIB Internship Program will take place in Jan. and April.

Compensation
All successful candidates will receive a daily allowance of USD60.

Visa Application and Travel
Where applicable, visa application fees could be borne by AIIB. For interns based outside of Beijing, will AIIB provide round-trip airfare to Beijing in economy class. Airfare shall be purchased via the Bank’s travel contractor.
