The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is currently conducting consultations on its Energy Sector Strategy Update. In order to provide interested stakeholders with a further opportunity to contribute to this process, the closing date of the consultation period has been extended from June 3, 2022 to July 8, 2022.

AIIB’s Energy Sector Strategy: Sustainable Energy for Asia was approved by the Board of Directors in June 2017, and its Results Monitoring Framework was amended in April 2018. The update to the Energy Sector Strategy was initiated in December 2021 to reflect the latest sectoral and institutional context, the Bank’s Corporate Strategy as well as its climate finance target and commitment to Paris Alignment.

For the Energy Sector Strategy to reflect the diverse needs of the public and AIIB members, a draft of the updated Energy Sector Strategy has been prepared and AIIB is inviting the public and stakeholder groups to provide comments and suggestions.

Written comments on the Energy Sector Strategy Update must contain the following information:

• Affiliation/organization.
• Telephone number.
• Email address and/or mailing address.
