Dong-lk (Don) Lee

Dong-lk Lee is Director General of the Investment Operations (Region 1) Banking Department, responsible for South Asia (except Afghanistan and Pakistan), the Pacific Islands and South East Asia. The Banking Unit covers (i) Capital Markets and Structured Products, (ii) Digital Infrastructure and Other Productive Sectors, (iii) Financial Institutions and Syndications, and (iv) Private Equity. Before joining AIIB in 2016, Lee was Corporate Advisor for Temasek. From 2008 to 2013, he was the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Alternative Investments at Korea Investment Corporation. Prior to that, he spent five years as Head of Investments at STIC Investments. He started his professional career at the International Finance Corporation from 1987 to 1997. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Korea University, and an MBA in finance and investments and an MS in management information systems, both from George Washington University. Lee is from the Republic of Korea.
