Call for Public Consultation: Draft Water Sector Strategy

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has initiated a Call for Public Consultations on its Draft Water Sector Strategy. AIIB is inviting a diverse stakeholder group to provide their comments and suggestions on the proposed approach to the water strategy.

Additional Information about the Draft Strategy

The Water Sector Analysis provides additional information regarding how the draft strategy was developed and how the draft strategy will be implemented once approved.


Please note that the public consultation process will last eight weeks starting Tuesday, Oct. 15, and we reserve the right to extend the length of the public consultation period.

How to Participate

Written Submissions

During the public consultation process, written submissions can be sent through the following channels:

Please note that for submissions to be considered, they must be titled “Submission: Draft Water Strategy” and include:

  • First and last name of contact.
  • Affiliation/organization.
  • Telephone number.
  • Email address and/or mailing address.
Only submissions in English will be accepted.

Finalizing the Strategy

Once the public consultation period has ended, the input from the written submissions will inform the preparation of the final draft of the Water Strategy, which will be submitted to AIIB’s Board of Directors for approval.

Upon approval, the final Water Strategy will be posted on AIIB’s website for public access.
