AIIB Joins with Coalizão RS and Din4mo to Support Climate-Resilient Infrastructure in Brazil

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Coalizão RS and Din4mo will collaborate to support AIIB’s subnational engagement in Guaíba, Brazil, with a focus on strengthening integrated urban planning and climate-resilient infrastructure development.

The partnership combines AIIB’s financing capabilities with Coalizão RS’s philanthropic platform and Din4mo’s structuring expertise to unlock new capital pools. Through targeted technical assistance, the initiative will support the development of an urban-environmental master plan, drainage and urban flood resilience measures, urban mobility planning and a long-term municipal sanitation strategy.

By supporting project preparation at an early stage, the initiative aims to reduce risk, enhance technical quality and readiness, facilitate access to financing, and strengthen institutional capacity. It will further accelerate the development of investment pipelines aligned with AIIB’s priorities.

“At AIIB, innovation is a defining pillar of how we expand our impact and mobilize resources,” said Hun Kim, AIIB’s Chief Partnership Officer and Director General, Sectors, Themes and Finance Solutions Department. “This partnership reflects our commitment to exploring new frontiers in resource mobilization by engaging with non-traditional partners and unlocking capital that has not historically been part of development finance.”

Bin Wang, Acting Director General of AIIB’s Operational Partnerships Department, said: “By working with Coalizão RS and Din4mo, we are demonstrating how innovative partnerships can catalyze investment, strengthen project preparation and ultimately deliver better infrastructure outcomes for our members.”

Tarso Oliveira, Executive Director of Coalizão RS, said: “This partnership represents a new generation of resource mobilization – one that is rooted in innovation, structuring excellence and the ability to connect capital with purpose. By working alongside AIIB and Din4mo, we are helping translate philanthropic intent into investment-ready opportunities, strengthening project preparation and enabling scalable infrastructure solutions.”

Marcel Fukayama and Marco Antonio Gorini, Co-founders of Din4mo, said: “Bringing together structuring experience, philanthropic capital and multilateral development financing creates a powerful platform for innovation, allowing projects to move from concept to implementation more efficiently and at greater scale.”

The partnership exemplifies AIIB’s role as a platform for innovation in development finance, advancing new approaches to resource mobilization that go beyond traditional donor engagement. Through philanthropic capital and catalytic technical assistance, AIIB aims to strengthen its ability to support clients in developing bankable, investment-ready infrastructure pipelines, particularly at the subnational level.
