AIIB Appoints Hun Kim as Chief Partnerships Officer

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) announced the appointment of Hun Kim as Chief Partnerships Officer, effective November 14, 2025, following his service in an Acting capacity since September 1, 2025. At the same time, Hun Kim will formally join the Bank’s Executive Committee as an additional member.

In this role, he leads the development, management, and growth of the Bank’s strategic partnerships; mobilizes resources; fosters collaborative relationships with global and regional stakeholders; and oversees the coordination of the Bank’s Multifunctional Hub offices.

Kim brings nearly thirty years of experience in international development, uniquely positioning him to engage effectively with AIIB’s strategic partners. Since joining in March 2021 to establish AIIB’s Social Infrastructure Department, and subsequently serving as Director General of the Sectors, Themes and Finance Solutions Department (STF) in July 2024, Kim has consistently advanced sector expertise, thematic focus, and financial innovation.
