Stefan DENZLER (Switzerland)
Mr. Stefan Denzler has been a member of the Board of Directors since July 2022. He is currently the Deputy Head of the Multilateral Cooperation Division at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER). He also serves as Switzerland’s Board Member to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) until December 2023. He was Senior Advisor to the Swiss Executive Director at the World Bank Group from 2013 to 2017, and since then has been responsible for Switzerland’s relations with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Green Climate Fund. Since 2000, Mr. Denzler had gained extensive experience as Program Manager within SECO for infrastructure financing, private sector development and trade promotion, with a focus on energy, climate change and resource efficiency operations. Prior to 2000, he worked on sustainable development and small and medium enterprise (SME) promotion in the private sector. Mr. Denzler holds a Ph.D. in Economic Geography from the University of Zurich. He is from Switzerland.
