DESCRIPTION

AIIB approved a loan of CNY280,500,000 (equal to USD40 million) to the Government of Lao PDR for the P000618_National Road 13 South Extension Improvement and Maintenance Project. This project aims to enhance connectivity by improving the road condition, safety, and climate resilience of critical sections of National Road 13.

The project received a grant amount of USD2.5 million under the Special Fund Window for Less Developed Members to buy-down the interest of 31 basis points from the applicable interest.
