Masyita CRYSTALLIN (Indonesia)

Masyita Crystallin has been a member of the Board of Directors since July, 2025. She was appointed Director General of Financial Sector Stability and Development (SPSK), Ministry of Finance, Indonesia, on May 23, 2025. This directorate carries out international cooperation functions to support the performance of international trade, investment and finance through multilateral, regional, bilateral and sustainable financial cooperation.

She is an economist and academic with expertise in macroeconomics and international economics and experience in the public and private sectors. Previously, Masyita was a Partner in Sustainable Finance and Head of Sustainable Finance and Policy Asia Pacific at Systemiq Ltd. She was also a member of the initial team for the establishment of the Indonesia Investment Authority and Spokesperson and Secretary of the INA Supervisory Board until 2024. Masyita served as Special Staff to the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia in Macroeconomics and Fiscal Policy from 2020 to 2024. She served as Deputy Co-Chair from 2021–2025 in the Coalition of Finance Ministers on Climate Change under the leadership of the Minister of Finance as Co-Chair. Prior to that, Masyita was an Expert Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs (2016–2017).

She started her career as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia, and has experience as Chief Economist for Indonesia and the Philippines at DBS Bank (2018–2020) and as Economist at Mandiri Sekuritas (2018). She was a Sherpa in the World Finance Ministers Coalition for Climate Change in [year], an Economist at World Bank (2014–2016) and a Ph.D. Intern at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2013. She is also active on the Board of the World Resources Institute and the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO).

Masyita completed her Bachelor of Economics from the University of Indonesia in 2005 and earned a master’s degree in International Development Economics from the Australian National University in 2007 through an ADS scholarship. She earned a doctorate in economics, specializing in International Money and Finance, from Claremont Graduate University, United States, in 2015, supported by a Fulbright scholarship.
