October 2025
Established in June 2010, ENMO was created in support of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General’s efforts to promote system-wide collaboration on ethics-related issues within the UN family.
With participation of intergovernmental organizations and financial institutions having consultative and collaborative arrangements with the UN system, ENMO’s membership has experienced a rapid expansion over the past 15 years, bringing a richer diversity of practices.
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), represented by its Ethics Office, became a member of ENMO in 2019. Through this open platform, AIIB actively engages with ethics leaders from other member institutions to share experience, build capacity, and strengthen connections.
At the 2024 ENMO Conference hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland, AIIB was selected to host the 17th ENMO Conference in 2025 - a special occasion that coincides with the celebration of our 10th anniversary.
The AIIB Ethics Office has been working closely with the ENMO Executive Committee to shape an engaging and impactful conference. Here are some key milestones:

As we reflect on a decade of commitment to integrity, accountability and ethical leadership, we are honoured to welcome colleagues from across the multilateral space to the AIIB Headquarters in Beijing, China.
