Intern - Fixed Income Portfolio Management

To strengthen its portfolio management capacity, AIIB’s Implementation Monitoring Department (IMD) is looking for an intern with strong quantitative analytics skillsets. The internship requests on-site assignments. Flexibility (on working days) could be provided based on the business need and candidate’s availability.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Portfolio Management Officer (PMO) in developing monitoring reports of various equity and fixed income projects, including but not limited to the creation of income projection models and fair value return models.
- Assist in the development of templates for the Equity Investment Management System (EMIS) and further improvements to existing quantitative reports.
- Help connect and automate data from multiple sources (internal and external channels) to consolidate and analyze projects information. Coding skills an advantage.
- Maintain and enhance existing quantitative reports.
- Conduct research on sectoral/technical topics.
- Other tasks assigned by the team leader.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a master’s or doctorate degree program.
- Strong programming skills (Python, Visual Basic, Excel VBA) for report automation.
- Strong skillset in research and data analysis.
- Experience in fixed income work is preferred.
- User of Bloomberg Terminal is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of finance and economics, and efforts toward obtaining a CFA designation are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
