Intern - Board Operations
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is financing the Infrastructure for Tomorrow—infrastructure with sustainability at its core. Collaborating with partners, AIIB meets clients’ needs by unlocking new capital and investing in infrastructure that is green, technology-enabled and promotes regional connectivity.
The intern will be placed in the Board Operations team of the Corporate Secretariat and support the AIIB’s Board of Directors, the Board Committees and the International Advisory Panel (IAP) as they execute their responsibilities in the context of governance to ensure the achievement of the Bank’s mandate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coordination and logistical support to the organization of meetings of the Board of Directors and International Advisory Panel, including assistance with document preparation.
- Conduct research and draft a report on AIIB’s governance practices.
- Support the Bank’s induction and training programs for Board Officials and staff.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Doctorate degree
- Proven interest in global or corporate governance and the role of multilateral development banks.
- Ability to conduct research with minimum supervision.
- A strong sense of personal integrity and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment, including with high-level stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of Russian or Uzbek would be a plus.
- Relevant previous professional, internship or volunteer experience would be an advantage.
